Ramen/Japanese noodles in Oakland

Please help me reconcile the two:

1. I have to travel to Oakland from So. Cal pretty often, two, three times a month).
2. I have ramen cravings very often, two-three times a week.

Is there anywhere near downtown/Lake Merrit (sp?) area that serves good, authentic Japanese noodles?
