Traders in Sanibel

We've been visiting Sanibel once a year for fifteen or so years. We have settled on Traders as our favorite restaurant. The menu hasn't changed much in the past few years, but it is dependable, reasonable (for Sanibel/Captiva) and the service is good. The bar makes a really nice traditional cocktail, and is cheap. We went on a Thursday night and they had a good eclectice two man band. Some of the pasta entrees are a little bit "busy" but the seafood is good. We liked the white gazpacho, and they give you the recipe so you can recreate it.

  1. Petergreen if you really feel like going for a ride for good seafood next time you are here go to Matlachat, on Pine Island Rd. to "Sandy Hook", An authentic waterfront restaurant with fresh florida caught seafood. Not a chain restaurant at all.
