where was I? all night asian snacks and drinks

After a rather incredible evening of drinking I ended up a bar in the east village/abc city that served a variety of rather tasty asian small plates. I had a shrimp tempura appetizer, shark fin dumplings, pork dumplings, and a lychee martini. I can't get in touch with my friend, who would recall the name of this place, and was wondering if anyone knew what I was talking about. I am also wondering if this place was really good as I remember or if we just fell in love with it because it served us at 2:30 in the morning after a rather involved spree.

    1. The lychee martini and everything else also makes me think Verlaine on Rivington, but shark fin dumplings I don't know, that seems a little exotic for their menu, I don't remember seeing those.

      1. typoon lounge? decibel? village yokocho? i can only think of japanese places in that area that are open late...

        1. could have been Forbidden City on Avenue A btwn 13 & 14

Aha! I immediately thought of Forbidden City as well, and, checking their menu, they have shark fin dumplings!!

          2. One of the crazy Izakaya places on or around St. Mark's?

Did it have cotton candy and a giant creepy racoon statue? That's Kenka...
