2 Amys Question

  • j

Thinking about taking a group of 6 to 2 Amys today for a late afternoon meal at about 3:30. What kind of wait can we expect? Worth it?

  1. I've been there around that time of day when there was no wait. But, if I remember it can get quite busy in a hurry. It was worth it to me, but 2 Amy's seems to be a love it or hate it experience.

      1. It was worth it! My group was antsy so we got there at 2. 30-minute wait, but the staff was very accomodating. Pizzas were well crafted and a hit with the party. Nice salads and apps. I might trade my first-born for the recipe for the green sauce on the deviled eggs. Out of this world! We are from out of town (Colorado) and I'm curious to know the negatives for this place, since there seems to be an appearance of debate on this board.

It's interesting. It seems that some feel it is overrated more than anything. We've been 5-6 times and always had good service, delicious food and yummy drinks. There was a lot of hype and, for us, it has lived up to it. Glad you had a nice time!

I think once they open their kid-free section upstairs, the reviews will be much more positive. That should address two major complaints: crowding and kids.

I've clearly been out of the loop! "Upstairs?" Can you share details?

A brat-free zone? Yay! I'll have to give the place another chance.

I can't remember where I saw it, otherwise I would try and find the link. But I read somewhere that 2 Amys is going to add (convert?) a top floor to be an adult-only zone. I don't remember a timeline for opening, or how big the space will be, but its something to look for.

Bar upstairs, families and kids downstairs, more seats and less waiting for all, everybody happy.

I don't mean to sound anti-kid, but this is fabulous, fabulous news. I love 2 Amy's and the kids really have somewhat overtaken (I tend to go on weekend days b/c it's a bit of a hike for me). Sounds win-win to me.
