Colbert Ice Cream?

Fellow citizens,

I am looking for a local source for Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream (the Ben and Jerry's flavor they named after him). Have not seen it any any shops - has anyone?

(Yes, this is a case where the celebrity tie-in is basically the only reason I'm interested in trying the flavor.)

  1. Go to the Ben & Jerry's website and use their flavor locator. Just click on our products then the flavor locator and pick what flavor then put in your zip code. It will list what stores carry that flavor. It looks like the Market Basket in Burlington MA. and Market Basket in Danvers MA. carry it. Hope this helps.

Thanks - that is so cool - no idea they could pinpoint a pint for me that way :-)

    2. I found it at the South End Emporium on Columbus Ave.

      1. I've also seen it in the 7-11 on the ground floor of the Garage on JFK in Harvard Square.

Has anyone had this flavor yet? It sounds like a B&J version of my beloved Haagen-Daaz Caramel Cone Explosion.

Caramel cone is one of my fave HD flavors. And since HD is more natural tasting than B&J IMHO, I assume it's better, but we'll see. Altho I did break down and bought Chunky monkey on sale at S&S this week.

        2. You can get a free scoop of it at any Ben & Jerry's on April 17th from noon to 8....

Can you? The pre-pack flavors do not overlap 100% with flavors offered in the Scoop Shops. I looked at the B&J's website and it's not listed as a Scoop Shop flavor.

          2. I saw it Saturday night at the Store 24 on Boylston Street, across from the Lenox.

bought some at the Market Basket in downtown Haverhill - ok, but I think I liked Brighams's "Just Jimmies" better: no caramel, chunks of real cone and jimmies!
