Login broken? Delete all chow cookies

Login seems to be broken for a bunch of folks. I fixed this by editing my browser's cookies file (I use Firefox), and removing all lines that start with "chow.com" or "chowhound.com". Then restart your browser. You should be able to login again.

    I had that problem using the Mac Safari browser. Rather than mess with my cookies, I opened Firefox and had no trouble logging in.
    But obviously, there is a problem.

    (I then went ahead and deleted all Chow.com and Chowhound.com cookies in Safari. It didn't do any good, even after exiting Safari and restarting it.)

      My browser is Safari and clearing all chowhound related cookies did work for me.

        Me too (IE). I just deleted all cookies, and restarted IE. I hope this gets fixed soon CH team.

            It doesn't work for all systems, certainly not mine (XP SP2, IE6). I deleted all cookies for chow and chowhound AND cnet, deleted all temporary internet files, restarted, and still no joy. It is impossible for me to login on my main system. I'm posting this thru Firefox on my old W2000 box.

            This is ridiculous -- isn't this the kind of technical thing that wasn't supposed to cripple the site after the cnet purchase? I can see how things can break but to not have a fix or seemingly any attention from the tech team after all this time is inexcusable.

                I had to do this too...I was trying to avoid clearing my cookies, but that's the only thing that would work.... *SIGH*
