Next time, try Dave's Bar & Grill, 2339 Post Rd., Warwick. Great salads and sandwiches at lunchtime. Dinner too!

Not a fan of Dave's but I was going Prov to Warwick Ave....Post Rd and down by the mall is too far for my limited lunch hour. Never made it to Bilkens.....I thought I knew were I was going but I was wrong. "Lunch" was a Zone bar and a bottle of water in the car. *sigh*

It's a rt. 2 chain, but I really do like Fresh City once in a while. Salad bar is good, stir fried stuff is good, sandwiches too. It's easy and comfortable and quick.

Gregg's on Post Rd by Rt 37, just N of the airport. Fast and inexpensive, and they have healthy selections identified on the menu.

If you take a few extra minutes and drive out to E. Greenwich, I'd suggest Jigger's Diner. It's a great, retro space, very cheap, delicious, not-the-most-healthy food place around. Warwick's a fast-food ghetto, unfortunately.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm working in Prov and this is on my lunch break, so no time for EG. I'm going to try Bilken's Cafe on the Prov/Cranston line.

I love Bilkens. Their dinner service is a different from the lunch though. It is a real undiscovered gem. Not sure how healthy that is though..:)
