$5 lunch in West Hollywood / Mid-Wilshire
I just saw a post on $5 lunches in Pasadena -- brilliant idea, so I'd like to propose a topic on $5 lunches in West Hollywood/Mid-Wilshire area.
I'm not looking for obvious answers like fast food chains, though I could start a whole 'nother discussion on how expensive McDonald's and Wendy's and the like has actually gotten. I'm looking for cheap local joints, like taco stands with $1 tacos or something similar.
Pink's is one obvious answer, but I personally don't have that much time to be waiting for hot dogs on my lunch break. One solution I've been trying is buying from the salad bar at Whole Foods, which makes me feel healthy but also leaves me extremely hungry. (The salad bar is something retarded like $7.49 a pound.)
Any suggestions, 'hounders?

Chulada Grill at San Vicente and Hauser. Tacos are $2.25 each, so you could get two, and sopes are $3.00. The pico de gallo at the salsa bar is great. Burritos and tortas tend to be between $5 and $6. (The Oaxacan items tend to be more expensive.)
They also have free delivery, thought there might be a minimum purchase. But if you are ordering with co-workers, it's a good choice.

I'm pretty sure you can get good falafel at Eat-A-Pita for about $5 (Free Parking). And a slice of Larchmont Pizza is less than that, though a little out of the way. The roach coach outside LACMA makes a great burrito for about $4.
