CHEAP Parents visiting - East Side suggestions?

My parents love good food, but hate to spend more than $10/person when going out to dinner. Anyone have any good suggestions for places on the East Side besides Pho Cafe or The Kitchen? Thanks!

For a full-course meal with decent food, you could take your parents to Taix, on Sunset in Echo Park. While it will run you a little more than $10 per person (most of their entrees are between $15-20), it's a pretty great deal, as entrees come with soup/salad and dessert included in the price.

I don't think you can even eat at the Kitchen for $10 anymore! Our staples are lots of Thai place -- Yai's on Vermont, Nadpob, Mae Ploy, Ruen Pair as well as Zankou Chicken.
I think the best value in the area for a sit-down place with waitresses is Carousel on Hollywood Blvd. It's a ton of food for $12 or $13.
I know some people who are fans of Rodeo Grill but for cheap Mexican we just go to El Siete Mares, Yuca's or the taco trucks. And of course there's India's Sweets and Spices on Los Feliz -- I don't know if it's the kind of place to take your parents, but certainly under $10.
