Dinner help for tonight 7th ave / christophere

Where to go tonight for an interesting preshow meal and drinks? Easy, moderate price. Something besides Indian, burgers and sushi. Is Lima's taste any better yet?

Hey all, thanks for the help. We ended up at a place called Lima on Christopher and Bedford for Peruvian. Quieter place which worked out for the best. The food was incredible with very very good flavors.

Ostia right there on 7th Ave South below Gourmet Garage. An excellent Tapas place.

Can't find a good food review for Agave. Can someone vouch for it? We are more up for food than drinks since we are going before a show.

Interesting...I have yet to find a bad review on Agave. I think all of us who replied vouched for it.

Really? I just did a search and looked at all of the 2007 postings that mention it and all were positive.
Personally, it's one of my favs for meeting a friend for weeknight dinners in the neighborhood. And they all like just as much as me. The chili is unique & excellent as a single or shared started, and even as an entree. I love their squash blossom tacos (something i've never seen elsewhere) and really enjoy their guac, Chicken entree, and enchiladas.

I vote NO on Agave - a concept restaurant, no soul, mediocre food, bad drinks, and awful service. For Mexican - go to La Palapa Rockola ( lapalapa.com ), on 6th ave btwn w.4th and washington place - VERY close. All good
