I can think of plenty of places that have private rooms, but does anyone know of a downtown restaurant/bar that has a nice patio that would hold 60+ plus people for an afternoon work party?

Maybe George on Queen? Not certain if it holds 60, but it's plenty big.

IMHO, Vertical is a lousy patio. In most places it's covered or shady. Plus, the one time I was there we were not impressed at all by the food.

Waterside Bistro is a public restaurant attached to a tennis club at Sherbourne & Queens Quay. They have two patios overlooking the water and free parking. I know the united way held a staff event on their patios last summer and it was nice 'cause they have a covered section in case it rains.

Unfortunately the only nice thing about Waterside Bistro is the view. The food's mediocre. The service tries hard, but they understaff the place so how can a server win?

Ultra Supper Club on Queen W - great city views in the summer and rooftop patio out of Miami Beach.

It is a great patio. Especially when you have it is only your private party using it.

The Savoy at Victoria and Dundas has a third floor with a great patio which you can book for private functions. Not sure what the capacity is.

                  Second the Drake. Great patio!

I believe the restaurants at the Distillery District can cordon off an area for your party on the patio. The Boiler House has a particularly large patio, and I believe that Pure Spirits can use the alcove to the SE of them for parties also.

Brassaii has a large patio also, as someone already pointed out. And La Maquette has a courtyard that I believe they can use for parties as well.

I also second the Distillery restos!

What day/date were you looking for?
That will have a lot to do with what is available.

What about the back of the Courthouse?
