Breakfast/Brunch near Hotel Washington

My husband and I will be attending his fraternity's reunion at the Hotel Washington on Pennsylvania Avenue the last weekend in April, and we will be looking for someplace close by to have breakfast or brunch on that Sunday morning. Any recommendations? Keep in mind, there will be some... ahem... inbibing on Saturday night, so the heartier food selection, the better :o)

If you like to have the hair of the dog go to the Beacon Hotel's Sunday brunch- 25 bucks all you can eat/drink mimosas, bloody mary's and screwdrivers.

Les Halles has started offering breakfast, even during the week, and it looks great. Plus, their outdoor eating has an excellent view and people-watching.

Stay away from the Sky Terrace! It's scheduled to open April 8th, and is nothing but a clip joint for tourists and their local friends who know better but want to enjoy the view. Lousy service, lousy overpriced food. It's the only thing that keeps that badly in need of renovation place alive.

By all means stumble up the street to the Old Ebbitt Grill. It's a quintessential DC landmark, with great brunch options and a mean bloody mary, should you need hair of the dog.

Yep -- Old Ebbitt is your best bet.

Avoid at all costs the restaurant located in the Hotel Washington -- I think it's called the Two Continents. Simply awful food.
