Salads for lunch - Tampa Bay

I would like to compile a list of some of the greatest places in the Tampa Bay area to grab a salad for lunch.

In Clearwater (where I work), we have Natures Food Patch. The salad bar is stocked full of wonderful organic veggies, soups, pasta etc plus they have some great homemade dressings.

I need more. Bestow upon me your knowledge.

  1. I like Doc Greens on Neptune (in the same shopping center Moe's and Coldstone is in by Publix) in Tampa. They have a "make you own salad" thing that reminds me of the places I used to eat lunch at in NYC. Another place for good salads is Louis Pappas on Bay to Bay...I just ask for my greek salad with no potato salad.

Yes, I have been to Doc Greens. They are pretty good. Big selection!

    2. Sweet Tomato's -- Dale Mabry just N of 275 -- HUGE salad bar, soups, pasta, etc.

Louis Pappas on Bay to Bay in Tampa and on N 4th St on St. Pete

      1. Not sure about Tampa Bay locations, but both Whole Foods and Wild Oats markets have great salad bars with lots of organic/healthy stuff, tofu, grains, etc.

        1. Woody's is on S. Dale Mabry just south of Publix at Neptune. It's an institution in S. Tampa, and just like S. Tampa it's a little boring. But it's cheap, the menu is mostly salads, a few sandwiches, a couple of different soups every day.

BBQ Chicken salad at Chicos Woodfired Grill in Westchase on Linebaugh is addictive!

          2. Other salad stops on South Dale Mabry include Wright's Gourmet - huge, fresh and priced right and Grillsmith (a regional chain), I think it is the Napa salad with tangy cranberries, walnuts, gargonzola and a generous serving!
