Bahn Mi on Lafeyette btwn White and Walker

Just wonder what the was the deal with Bahn Mi Sau Voi Cafe (101-105 Lafeyette) before I venture out there. Because, really, there is just nothing sadder than a sub-par bahn mi.

i agree with the folks above, as well. Bahn Mi So 1 on Broome between Elizabeth and Mott gets my vote.

I agree with KTinNYC. I only get a sandwich there when I don't have the time or energy to walk to Mott St.

agreed not nearly as good as saigon bahn mi or bahn mi so 1

I've only had their meatball bahn mi, which is FANTASTIC ( a couple of Vietnamese friends of mine agree) and easily ranks among the best sandwiches in the city. This is an example of restaurant (or as is the case, a video store-takeout joint) that does one thing really, really well.

I've had the bahn mi twice from Bahn Mi Sau Voi and it is on the lower tier. Not bad mind you but nothing to go out of the way for.
