Kudos to Dallas Jones BBQ

Last night I got some food delivered from Dallas Jones, the little bbq joint on Bedford St. (not to be confused w/ the lame Dallas BBQ chain). The food was delivered in a very reasonable twenty minutes or so, which I quickly tore into. About 10 minutes later my doorbell rang and it was the owner of Dallas Jones personally delivering a side of bbq sauce that had apparently been forgotten. I hadn't even noticed since there is already sauce on the pulled pork (I'm sure that's questionable to some bbq afficianados), but I was really impressed by such a dedication to customer service.

Most restaurants would only deliver an overlooked item if the customer calls to complain, and most owners certainly wouldn't deliver it personally. This just demonstrates to me a genuine appreciation for quality, which is also reflected in their food. It's certainly not the best bbq I've ever had, but it's pretty damn solid (on par, in my opinion, with Dinosaur, Daisy Mays, et al) and always tastes very fresh. With that said, I've never had the ribs, only pulled pork and brisket.

My point, though, is not to start another bbq debate, but to say hats off to a restaurant that knows how to treat their customers.
