Anyone been to "cheese night" at L'Espalier?
A friend and I are interested in attending but are curious to see if other hounds have been, and what to expect. Apparently there are four (small) courses made with the cheese theme of the night as well as wines paired. Any insight is much appreciated. Thanks!
I went with a friend last summer and was sorely disappointed. It was more wine tasting than cheese tasting, and the pairings left much to be desired. Plus they packed the room with tables, every table was full (four-tops), and they had many waiters to drop and pick up the many plates and glasses. Lots of bumping shoulders and elbows - it felt like a factory. Au Jourd'hui runs a much nicer event, in my mind.
