Garland Dinette Gas Range

I have a Garland Dinette gas range, bought on the Bowery in 1961. I would like the cast iron to be repainted and the white ceramic bricks for the broiler replaced. Does anyone know of a place in NYC that refinishes these old but great ovens?

  1. I don't know if this will help but check that may not be the right address but just google it. They may be able to help you source what you need. I have an old Garland and am wondering what is a Dinette model. I am trying to identify my range as the company I had restore it lost the original tags during the restoration. What setup or configuration is your range?

The gas range has 4 cast iron burner on top, the front two are larger. To the right is a cast iron grill about 18x24 nches. Underneath the grill, there are three rows of white ceramic bricks, under them a larger gas jet that goes down the length of the ceramics to heat them up and make them turn red. Underneath all that is an open broiler, which gets very hot.
Under the four burners is the oven, with a company by the name of Robert Shaw that controls the thermostat. I hope this helps a little
