Harbor House

A few weeks ago we were in the Albany area. We were in the mood for fried fish and decided to try The Harbor House. Yikes ! I'm not sure what the draw is here. The type of fish is not listed (my guess is that it was the dreaded Pollock). The serving of fried clams (I think it was $7.95) was barely enough to make a clam roll and were 95% breading. The tartar sauce was homemade but was awful (why bother when Cains is such an excellent product).

I would give this place a 4 out of 10 (points for very good onion rings).

  1. I have been there 2 or 3 times in the past dozen years and agree with your "review"; however, I must say they place is usually crowded whenever I go passed it.

I'll save my cravings for clams until Maine!

    1. where is this restaurant? in Albany? in a nearby area/town? i can't recall coming across it.

Clifton Park on Rte 9 just north of 146 (where the mall is). It is a small place on the left.
