how many carrots in a cup??

recipe calls for 1 1/4 cup grated carrots - how many carrots is that? (making it right now - please help!)

    sorry, but that really depends on the size of your carrots.

        of course it does - but most recipes are able to say "3 medium carrots" or "5 small carrots". theres gotta be some kind of rule on how to approximate.

          One large=1C grated (just don't ask how large is large. :-)
