When do they arrive in the markets?

Ramps, fiddleheads, favas, and peas?

    Yesterday at Union Sq, it seemed that everybody had exquisite microgreens. The market was filled with greens and flowers. Besides that, the Spring stuff wasn't around yet.

        West Virginia has a lot of festivals when the ramps are harvested, and most of these are in April. So that's when you should be getting them. There are lots and lots of festivals. Every town and holler has one, it seems. The best known are at Richwood, Elkins, Pickens and Helvetia. Last year, Richwood was April 22, Helvetia was April 29.and Pickens April 15.
