Someone gave you some great suggestions on your last inquiry -- I would add Olio in Groton and Octagon, a great steakhouse, at the Mystic Marriott which is in groton. Tony D's is good Italian in New London. Muddy Waters in New London has great sandwiches and soups. Mystic Market - two locations in Mystic - has a good selection of cakes and pastries. Terrace Bakery in New London is a very good old school Italian bakery.

I'm guessing your opening comment that there are no edible restaurants in the area must be an April Fool's joke because if you do a search on this site you will find many recommendations for good food.
