Veritas is one of our favorites, and while we haven't been there in quite a while, based on all the times we have been there, I can safely say that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. But to be a little specific... In the appetizer dept., I've always found Chef Scott Bryan's foie gras, no matter what accompaniments he chooses, to be outstanding, and my husband always has high praise for the sweetbreads. As far as main courses go, the short ribs, which have become a staple on the menu, are delectible; lamb dishes are always a winner; and Chef Bryan does miraculous things with fish. When it comes to dessert, I've never had one that wasn't delicious, so take your pick from the sweets. And if you're in the mood for cheese, their cheese plate is always first-rate.
