Tibetan/Nepali place in Jackson Heights
I was walking around Jackson Heights (on the street with the Bollywood movie theatre) and bumped into this teeny tiny place for Tibetan/Nepali food. It had a very small sign, and was in between some phone card shops. Hard to spot with all the crowd lined up on the street to watch the World Cup. Has anybody been here? Wondering if it is any good.
I would have stopped in had I not stuffed myself at Rajbhog.
I have never eaten there but I have looked in. It seems to be primarily an Internet cafe/Nepali hangout which also offers a few pre-cooked veggy snacks and dumplings. I have a sentimental attraction to that place because it was the site of the now-closed Tabaq restaurant, which had a style of cooking I'd never encountered before, called balti or tawa, which features a huge wok and freshly ground spices.
