KC BBQ Rib Shack? Manchester, NH Who says good?
I thought I had read this was good and we went today and were very dissappointed. My vote is NO!!! Never again. We got take out and first of all the service was terrible, we weren't sure if we had time to eat there or not but when we walked in the girl said "just have a seat anywhere" so we did while we looked at the menu. Then no one came over. There was hardly anyone in the place - it was 2:15 and two girls just continued to walk into the back & back to the bar, never coming over to us. They talked to each other. "hello?" - finally I got up and walked toward the back catching one playing with her hair. We decided to try the BBQ for two mix with chili and slaw. Included BBQ chicken, ribs (both very dry) sausage, pulled pork (this was probably the only thing I thought tasty). Everything was ready in 2 minutes - guess it's all ready and waiting for a crowd. Chili was a step above hormel but I did like the slaw.
I wouldn't say I'm a bbq freak but I definately like Down and Dirty much better and still love Premier Palette best of all on Elm St.
Personally, I've found them to be inconsistent. Three of the four times I've been, it was very good BBQ and service. The other time was quite marginal; the food was good but not great, and the service slow.
I'll have to check out Premier Palette, I keep seeing them but haven't been.
I wasn't very impressed with either KC's or Down N Dirty. I'd rather eat at Famous Dave's even though the corn they serve there is boiled and cold.
Premier Palette is the best though.. Just so long as you stick with the shredded beef or beef brisket, and stay away from the ribs. The ribs are huge beef ribs that are rather unweildly, and not very meaty. I love the beans. Not a big fan of the fries though. And I wish they had some more sides to choose from, like corn.
