Crepe Suzette Mar 31, 2007 04:02 PM

On my way back from Babycakes, I discovered this tiny little bakery called Panade on Eldrige and Broom - they specialize in "puffs" - both savory and sweet, and also puff sandwiches. I couldn't find anything on the board about this place, so wondered if others have tried it? The owner was really friendly and helpful - I wasn't too hungry so just tried the cheese puff, which was quite good even though it would have been much better hot. I think I'll go back in the AM sometime to try one fresh out of the oven.

We have been to Panade several times. Aside from the yummy puffs, we love the delicious chocolate brownies- among the best in the city. The owner is delightful and makes everything with pride and care.

I stop in at Panade often. The baked goods are outstanding. I particularly like the muffins, and the wonderful brownies, and the sandwiches made on Panade's savory puffs. Coffee at Panade is an unexpected treat. The ambiance is warm and homey and the owner is friendly and personable. A delightful find!

I've only had the puffs at Panade, but they were carefully made and absolutely delicious! The owner is actually a school teacher who always had a passion for baking. Definitely a great addition to the neighborhood. I wish there was a place like this closer to Midtown.
