Batifole - Wonderful!

We went to Batifole last night and it was excellent! Good value, excellent wine selection, knowledgeable service...

We had the skate... great flavour!

I finally went, and loved it! Reminded me so much of places in Europe and Montreal. And great value - $16 mains were huge! I had the panfried veal liver, which was sublime, and my wife had the beef tenderloin poached in intensely herbed consomme and served with pommery mustard on the side, a really unusual presentation and absolutely delicious. Tasty, chunky fries and asparagus on the side, a nice bottle of wine. Just perfect.

Service was very professional and friendly, and our obvious enjoyment led to complementary digestifs at the end. I can't wait to go back. My new favourite restaurant.

My Mom is French, so when we went, it was pleasant to see that ALL the wait staff at least attempted French (some with more success than others)... And they shake an excellent vodka martini! Glad you enjoyed it too!!!

Their website isn't very informative. How much can one expect to spend there before drinks? Anyone have any ideas? I'd love to check it out since it's really close by.
