I am looking for a great place to have lunch in Long Island's wine country on a weekday. Any suggestions?

The North Fork sister of "Lunch" in the Hamptons. It's on Sound Avenue in Riverhead and called the Lobster Roll Northside. Just down the road from Briermere Farms. They do serve Briermere pies at Lobster Roll but I suggest to have lunch and then head down the road and pick up a whole pie, or two, or three.

If you are going to be on the North Fork, I highly recommend the Jedediah Hawkins Inn - http://www.chowhound.com/topics/328146

Had an interesting selection of local wines as well as wonderful food.
