Montreal: HELP! Looking for great HOT CHOCOLATE (near St Hubert & Av Mont Royal)
Hello Montreal Chowhounders,
I am craving a great hot chocolate. Any good places near where I am staying: St. Hubert (between Marie Anne and Ave Mont Royal).
Thanks -- Merci!

Juliette et Chocolat has a fabulous Grandma-style (or à l'ancienne) hot chocolate that is super thick and available in bitter, semi-sweet, or milk. They also have many different "vintages" to try.

I second the first two of those options and haven't been to the third, although I will since it's probably a 4 minute walk! Another option I really enjoy is the mexican hot chocolate (personally I ask for soy milk so not sure how it is with regular milk) at Cafeo on the corner of Rachel and St-Denis.

You've got a few options in that sector and they just happen to be some of the best in town:
Au Festin De Babette
4085 RUE SAINT-DENIS (just above Duluth)Suite 88 Chocolatier
3957 RUE SAINT-DENIS
http://www.suite88.com/Les Chocolats De Chloé (only on weekends
)375 RUE ROY EST (just one bloc east of Saint-Denis)If you don't mind a little schlep, you could also Rue Laurier East and go to:
La Maison Cakao
5090 RUE FABRE (just south of Laurier)There you go.
