Best sushi (omakase) in East 60s, 70s, and 80s

What are your favorite sushi restaurants for omakase on the UES? We've already been to Sushi of Gari, Sushi Seki, and Sasabune, so we're looking for something other than those 3.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you've already been to the best of that area, but I've heard good things about Gaiyumaru on 85th and 1st ave and maybe Sushi Sennin (80something and 3rd). but again i think those are not as good as the places you mentioned.

I think you're covered! IMO, the remaining best sushi places are below 60th St. (Sushi Yasuda, Jewel Bako, Kuruma Zushi...)

Add Sasabune on east 80s for omakase :) it's omakase only (around $60) and very good

          Ichimura on 54th

I recently tried Inase (1st Av + 82nd) at the recommendation of another poster and it's right up there, definitely worth checking out. Nice name too which roughly translates as "dashing" or "raffish". Better than Gajyumaru and Ichimura in my opinion. I was a little disappointed with both those places especially as Gajy had been recommended by a Japanese friend and Ichimura gets plenty of praise on this board and elsewhere.

If UES Sennin is anything like midtown Sennin, I would stay away from there.
