Worth it? I dunno. It is basically a marriage of the Bialetti Mukka Express stove top cappucino pot with a hot plate. The Mukka can be had for about $70...

Any good? Some folks swear by boiled-brew espresso, but most prefer the taste of stuff made with a high pressure sealed system. Apparently the design of the Mukka REQUIRES one to put the milk into the unit and I really don't like that.

I have the Mukka Express sans heating element, so I'll share my experiences with that. I got it for camping trips in our travel trailer. It does a decent job of frothing milk but there is absolutely no control over the frothing process. I have found that if the milk is too cold when poured into the top chamber, the resulting drink won't be very hot. The milk is pretty much isolated from most of the heat that might be coming from the stove... that goes to the bottom of the unit to generate the espresso.

Are the drinks good that come from it? Pretty much so. But I don't use it at home, as my Silvia allows me more control over frothing. I have never used the "Latte" position on the steam valve.

The only quibble I have with the pot is that the steam valve, which is made with plastic, seems crudely assembled so far as fit and finish of the edges. Replacements are only $7.00, though.

Bialetti also recommends that the pot not be used for brewing straight espresso. I take a small Moka pot for that when camping.
