Chai masala

Does anyone know a place in the Boston area (T or bus accessible) where I might be able to pick up some chai masala? Not tea, just the spices (makes my oatmeal soooo much better in the morning). I attempted to make my own, but I must have gotten the proportions wrong cause my tongue went carda-numb.

Try this place called Shalimar on Mass Ave. very close to the Central Sq. T- Stop. They should have it if you are looking for the Indian Style.

Madras Masala, 191 Harvard st. in Brookline carries my favorite chai masala, "Everest." Call them to make sure that they have it in stock. 617-566-9943.

Have you checked out Christina's spice shop in Inman? I'm not positive they have it, but it seems like it would be a pretty good bet. And if not, you can drown your sorrows in some ice cream next door.

Ha ha ha...an excellent suggestion, a little burnt caramel might be just the thing to get rid of the lingering taste of cardamom.
