Mail Order Cookies DC Area?

I'm looking to send some white chocolate macadamia nut cookies to a friend in the DC area. Does anyone know a bakery or company that does delivery?

I looked online and found a Blue Ribbon Bakery (www.blueribbonbakery.com) that seems to be in the DC area. Has anyone heard of it or bought anything from it?

Any help would be much appreciated! :)

I'm not a fan of Cakelove cakes--they are very dry and sometimes even taste stale. I'd go with the Blue Ribbon place. Plus, cookies are not one Cakelove's specialties and it looks like this place does more cookies from its website.

I was going to order from the Blue Ribbon bakery, but when I called the number provided, it was no longer in service. I guess they went out of business?

I ended up strangely enough going onto Ebay and ordering some cookies from there. From what I've been told they were great, and about the cheapest option I could find.

i've ordered a birthday cake for a friend from cakelove and they do a really terrific job of a) making sure the order is delivered within a specified time (it was a surprise gift for my friend, and i was sending it to her law firm's office in DC); and b) ensuring that the cake is fresh and absolutely delicious. i ordered the chocolate cake with peanut butter in the middle.
