Midtown Sushi Lunch?

I'm meeting a couple of buddies for lunch early next week. They both work in midtown.

We'd like to find a good place for Sushi somewhere between Park and 6th and 40th and 48th Streets.

I usually have Sushi in my 'hood (UES) or downtown, so I'm not too familiar with the midtown options.

Hatsuhana, on Park between 45th/46th. (in the walkway behind Subway coming from 46th.) Very good and consistent, reasonably priced. I've had their sushi-chicken teriyaki combo, and the "half portion" of the chicken is huge. Good tempura too!

it's been a long time since i've been there, but...i used to go to Naniwa (46th between 5th and Madison) a lot for lunch. try to get there for one of their Eel Day specials. i also liked their inaniwa udon and shiraoue karaage. you can also reserve a tatami room if you want more privacy.

Sushi Yasuda...it's on 43rd between 2nd and 3rd, but WELL worth the trek!!!

If it were up to me, I'd make the trek (I have tons of weekdays off :) but they're both in a time crunch. Need to stay within the confines of originally stated area.

Price range...I'd say middle of the road. In other words, better than Go Sushi, but not quite Sushi of Gari :)

Any price range? There are some excellent selection to mediocre ones, the price reflects that. Let us know your price range and we can make better suggestions to you.
