Organic Hamburgers

Does anyone know of a good restaurant to get organic or free range hamburgers in the city? I'm not a huge fan of health food restaurants, or health food in general but am on a new diet for health reasons.

I'm glad you asked the question, because I've also been on the lookout for a location that would serve organic hamburgers and other products, which is what we prepare at home. Sorry to say, I've yet to find a place. On a side note and more of an fyi than an option, I did read the other day that Burger King will begin selling some cage free products. I did read about Crust, which will hopefully be a success and start a new trend!

I don't know of any place yet (others, please chime in). But Crust is scheduled to open in Wicker Park some time next month as a certified organic restaurant specializing in flatbreads and sandwiches.

bistro campagne, which is owned by chef michael altenberg (crust) serves an organic burger. i believe they get their beef from tall grass.
