ISO - carne asada hard-shell tacos

I've got a friend. He's looking for carne asada hard-shell tacos. He works in Hollywood, lives in Glendale but I think he'd travel for these.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

I had an order of "Tacos Dorados" at Vallarta Supermarket on Sherman Way last Friday. It's 3 hard shell tacos filled with any meat they have - I asked for carne asada. They were extremely tasty! I'm definitely going to get those again...

Acapulco has hard shell carne asada tacos at their happy hours for $1. You didn't say they had to be great. They were okay. The stuff for sides was included and fresh. (The Downey location). I assume there is one somewhere near Glendale.

Not hard shell carne asada tacos, but Barragan's on Central Avenue in Glendale on Monday nights after 4pm it's $1 taco night. Only ground beef or chicken, but they're fried hard shell tacos and for $1 each you can't beat it and they're good. Great chips and salsa too.

I don't believe Tito's Tacos has carne asada tacos.

You may be right, carne asad is usually grilled first, I do not think they grill the meat. But then there probably would not be any carne asada hard shell tacos then. Hard shell tacos are fried with the meat in them, I have never seen a hard shell with chopped grilled meat.

              Definition of Carne asada:
The dish mainly consists of pieces or thin cuts of beef (i.e. flank steak, skirt steak), sometimes marinated, sometimes lightly salted or rubbed with salt, pepper and/or spices, and then grilled. It can be eaten alone, accompanied with side dishes, chopped and eaten as tacos, or chopped and used as filler for tortas, burritos etc.

                TitosTaco are:
100% Shredded Beef, Corn Tortilla, Lettuce, Shredded Cheese -
No Carne Asada, but otherwise Titos Tacos with the red salsa are pretty good!
