Looking for Black Sesame Seeds in Montreal

Beebopstop Mar 28, 2007 03:28 PM

Hi gang,

Well, hope someone out there can help me with my quest:

I'm looking for BLACK SESAME SEEDS here in Montreal.

Not the "Toasted" nor "Roasted" type. Original black sesame seeds, biological would be nice :)

Any help would be great !!

Thanks !

As mentioned by Carswell, La Depense in JT market. I saw them last weekend.

You can also go to Sunsource on Sherbrooke in Westmount and they are organic. This is also an amazing spot for nuts and dried fruit - they are the importers, roasters and sellers - so the quality control is excellent. And everything is so cheap!

Gourmet Laurier definitely has them. Olives & épices and/or La Dépense at Jean-Talon Market almost assuredly do.

I've bought them at Frenco on St. Laurent, close to Duluth.

I don't know about organic, but black sesame seeds can be bought at any Japanese or pretty much any Asian grocery. The ones I have here are from Marché Hawaï in Ville-Saint-Laurent.
