I think two places are Anthony & Mario's Broadway Pizzeria at the northwest corner of Charleston and South Rancho (northwest corner in the Smith's center) and Rocc's New York Italian Deli at the southwest corner of Charleston and Buffalo (kind of hard to see off the street. It is in the center behind the gas station). They also have some great sandwhiches like the roast beef and melted mozzerella on garlic bread. I would try both even though I prefer Roccos. http://www.downtownhenderson.com/Restaurants/Roccos/roccos.htm
Here is an article from the Las Vegas Weekly about pizza places in Las Vegas

Settebello is good for the Napoli style of pizza - in fact it's the only "licensed" Pizzaiuoli Napoletani establishment in Las Vegas.
For everyday New York style pizza there are two places that I think are fabulous. East Coast Pizza in the Boca Village Center ( Charleston and Ft. Apache ) and Back East Pizza on Village Center Circle in Summerlin. Both are very similar and very tasty.
Back East imports their dough directly from New York while East Coast makes their own dough but uses a special yeast that they buy from Colorado. Highly recommended on either place.

If you have a car, and are willing to drive 20 minutes from the Stri, consider Settebello. Settebello (http://www.settebello.net/) offers a version very different from the standard American pizza. It consists mostly of ... crust. But what a crust! The toppings are provided in modest amounts, as a complement to the crust; American pizzas generally provide a crust merely to hold the toppings.

re: Larry
i need to get back to settebello - i liked but did not love it when i was there last year ...it's definitely not your standard "american pizza" - it's individual sized pizza's made to an established code/guideline i believe originating in naples, italy.
if you are looking for mre of a family style pizza, yet high quality, metro pizza fits the bill - they have 4-5 stores in the valley - closest to the strip is ...hmmm...i think there is one in ellis island casino...or near it...i go to the one on flamingo and decatur - about a mile west of the palms - there is also one near unlv on trop ( i think that's the original location. if you love sausage , i highly recommend the triple play, it's awesome !
