Does anybody know anywhere around Manhattan to get Kosher for Passover Fox's U-Bet?
Despite my name, I do not keep kosher, but I know the kind with sugar is better, and wanted to stock up on it. I will go to other boroughs if necessary if I can be sure they have it.

I heard they have it at Stop-n-Shop in Staten Island, but does anybody know anywhere closer?

You should try asking this question on the Kosher board.

Someone has asked on the kosher board. The answers are from all over the country. The only response from New York said that it's in stores in Staten Island.

At this time of year, it's the only kind Fox's produces, so any supermarket in NYC that regularly carries Fox's U-bet is bound to have it. All the supermarkets in my area of NJ have it. One has had it on sale for the past few weeks @ 2/$3.

You can order U-Bet through Amazon.com:

I'm not sure if you're implying that there are two kinds of Fox's (Kosher for Passover and not Kosher for Passover) but I know Economy Candy on Rivington has Fox's. Seen it many time.

That's exactly what I meant. During the rest of the year, they use corn syrup as a sweetener, which is forbidden to be used during Passover. So, for Passover, they substitute sugar. The label surrounding the pour spout is marked "Kosher for Passover" and includes a Rabbinical "hechsher."

I would try Food Emporium as I bought some at my local A&P in Westchester and they own Food Emporium.
