Biagio/Waltham

Just wondering if anyone has eaten here yet and what it was like.

I was interested in this place after driving by several times - looked really nice from the outside. Tried it out last night. It's a big space, and they clearly spent $$ renovating, but they could have used some advice in planning such a big space. The bar areas lack warmth; the main dining room is cavernous. Our waitress was at best indifferent - and didn't even give us cursory visits to refresh bar drinks, etc. Although nearby tables seemed to get pleasant, attentive service. The salads we had were good, the rest of the food wasn't anything special. One of my dining partners ordered the "wild mushroom ravioli." I'm pretty sure the mushrooms were from a can - or so over cooked they may as well have been in one. The menu seemed ambitiously pricey. Maybe it was an off night (although it was Friday) - but I won't be going back any time soon.

I went there last night with my fiance. It was very nice, but we decided we would give it a two-word review: Needs salt.

Yeah everything did need salt. It's a very pretty place but the food needs more flavor. Don't think I would ever go back.

Me too! It's looked bustling the few times I've driven by since it opened.

Looks good! They're also starting live music this weekend, a great band from Boston called Red Square.
