ISO Miami's Best Cubano

David Kahn Mar 26, 2007 12:54 PM

Help out an LA Hound coming into town for a couple of days. Don't need fancy, but want a cubano I will remember for years. Any suggestions about who makes Miami's best?

TIA hounds.

    Las Culebrinas on Flagler.

Rey's Cafeteria on 10th Ave. in Hialeah. Molino Ranch on Red Rd. in Hialeah. Also Casa Romeu on 67th Ave. in Miami Gardens, La Reina on 2nd Ave. in little Havana. So many good places each with their own specialty. Try several and draw your own conclusions. The little holes-in-the-walls with the daily menu on the chalk board can be truly excellent. If sandwiches are your thing, make sure and try a Cuban steak sandwich (pan con bistec). Very tasty. There is a place at Red Rd. and the Metrorail that has MONSTER Cuban sandwiches. Can't remember the name of it, though, dammit.
