DIB .....early dinner, no reservations, possible?

  • 3

I just learned it is restaurant week in Brooklyn. I never even knew there was such an event in Brooklyn. Having said that, I'm clearly quite 'late' to make reservations at what seems to be the hot spots: Tempo, Applewood, Blue Ribbon.

It seems that some of these places take walk-ins. Do you think I'd have any luck going for an early dinner either today (Sunday) or during the week without reservations? I.e. walk-in or sitting at the bar?

It would be quite a trek to get there, so wouldn't want to go without reason if possible.

Cheers!

  1. You can enjoy your DIB dinner at the bar at Tempo and Applewood, sans reservations. I'd also be willing to bet you could get into Cocotte as a walk-in.

Other hounds will add their .02 and you'll no doubt have many choices. Enjoy.

    1. In the past, I've had luck hitting up Blue Ribbon Sushi right after work. If you can hit them around 6-ish, you should be able to get a seat without a problem.

      1. I got reservations at Tempo for Saturday and I had called Thursday late afternoon. There may be hope for you yet!
