Dinner with music?

Any ideas for a nice dinner with a pianist or pianist and bassist, playing jazz or standards or show tunes? I know about the jazz clubs; I'm looking for a good restaurant with nice music to accompany good food.

Thanks all.

I have been to a couple of places that feature live jazz...Bistro jules in the east village is very cozy and the food is good. There's also the Blue water grill downstairs which features live jazz and the food is really good, though the music is on the loud side.

Knickerbocker on University has live jazz nightly after 9.

Trio, on 33rd, b/t Lex & 3rd, serves very good Mediterranean cuisine. The menu includes several excellent Croatian specialties. (The owners are from Croatia.) Not to be missed are the seriously delicious strukli. The space has a comfortable, clubby feel and several cozy booths. There is live piano music on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Very good jazz at Arturo's. Get some pizza, then hang out at the bar and listen to the music more closely. But you might have already known about the jazz at Arturo's.

Yes Jazz Standard is the place to go! Great quality jazz plus great ribs from Blue Smoke (and pain-free parking around it), nothing can't beat that!
