DIB - Five Front

Someone posted a negative blurb about their Dine In Brooklyn experience at Five Front in DUMBO. (Can't remember who it was.) I just wanted to post a more positive blurb.

I had never been to Five Front before, so I can't compare the DIB offerings to their regular offerings. But last night I had a lovely meal there: pureed eggplant/roasted tomato soup, perch with some kind of lemon-buttery sauce and fennel pollen, and a chocolate-hazelnut cake. With one glass of wine and tax and tip, I spent $35 total, and I thought it was well worth it. The service was very good.

So, if there are any Five Front fans out there, or people who want to try it for the first time, I would not rule out going sometime during this last week of DIB.

P.S. I decided against Bay Ridge after all, but I'm still considering having DIB lunch at Bouillabaisse 126, if I can get away from my office long enough. I'll let you know how that is, in case anyone is interested.

I've not been there for a little while, but I've always been a fan of Five Front. Can't speak for their DIB, though.

I went to the DIB a few nights ago. It was great- I had fresh salad for the first course, rissotto for the second (not Noodle puddin ggood, but very good nonetheless), and chocolate cake for dessert. My wife just went for their phenomenal burger and fries.
      Definitely worth checking out.
