Santa Fe is a damn weird place but there are some definite winners. Try Gabriel's just north of town on 285 for excellent guacamole and fajitas. Maria's on Cordova for truly great enchiladas, tamales and the best margaritas in the known universe. The best green chile in town, hands down, is served at a diner-style kind of place on the south end of Cerillos called Horseman's Haven. This place also has the best prices of any restaurant in town, by far. The best red chile, however, is found downtown in a place called The Shed. A little more upscale, but still worth what they're charging for the food. There is a superb Indian restaurant downtown as well called The India Palace. They have a daily buffet and serve dinner nightly. Both are excellent examples of well prepared, filling North Indian cuisine. Good Luck!
