A Mano - New Pizza NJ
just opened A Mano in Ridgewood (10 minutes from rte 17 and GSP junction) makes a nice pie (1 minute from oven to plate). dough on the bottom ranges from crispy to chewy, with char spot here and there. nice chewy crust. Margarita pie could use more basil. Marinara pie too wet but enjoyable anyway. Sauce nice tomato flavor but seemed like faint trace of sweetened. definitely not over sweetened like sciortino of south amboy, which would be best pie in nj if not taste like pizza lollipop. need a pie per person. Other than pie, a few apps and desserts. towers above average nj pie. still, lucky east central nj-ers have pizza co-capital of the world next door in s.i. (old forge, pa self-proclaimed pizza capital of the world along with Scranton great for pizza, too). In s.i., Ciro’s on Hugonoet for Margarita pie and calamari marinara, Denino’s on Port Richmond Ave for Sausage pie and fried calamari, and Brother’s on Port Richmond Ave for Grandmother’s style. Anyway, A Mano thus far top tier nj pie. North Bergen Record reviewed it:

re: kadeshpa
It's probably one of the best Neapolitans in the USA.Sadly I doubt too many realise what they have literaly on their doorstep? I agree Piney, Ciros is decent for the New York style they do also.I was just reading the top grossing 100 independent Pizzerias list ,and not one of them was in NJ/SI/NYC?
I guess there is something missing with the reported figures.;>)
