chichen itza in the Essex Hotel
Went there for the second time in a month last night. It still rocks. The Pibil pork-marinated with a hab pep on top--was terrific and I foolishly ate it all (just a bite of the pepper) with four tortillas and the rice and black beans. That is not the way to go to the theater. but still it was heaven.
best gal had the flounder with a fine and subtle sauce, plus the mixed appetizers. with a beer each, it was $60.
the service is welcoming and there are chips with bean sauce for apps.
we skipped dessert, which we have had before, cause curtain was calling.
