Nostalgiaworld -- Jim & Pete's Pizza

When I was a child, I think the first pizza I ever tasted -- and certainly the one that was most a part of my life, was from Jim & Pete's on North Ave in Oak Park. It may not have been the best pizza I ever had, but it certainly defined what pizza was supposed to taste like for me.
I have learned that there is a Jim & Pete's a little further west on North Avenue in Maywood or Melrose Park or maybe it's even Elmwood Park. Does anyone know if that's the same Jim and Pete's and, if it is, if their recipe for pizza is the same as it was 30 years ago?
It's Elmwood Park:
Jim & Pete's
7806 W. North Ave.
Elmwood Park 60707
I don't know the answer to your question; hopefully someone else does.
I too remember going here a lot as a kid or my dad would bring pizza home from here on his way home from work on Friday nights. I will never forget how unique tasting this pizza was. It was cut diamond shaped like, and had a different taste to it. I am not sure what kind of cheese was used but it didnt taste like your typical mozzarella cheese. We all loved this pizza. This has to be going back to the mid to late 70's. It was an every Friday ritual. The pizza there now days is definitely NOT the same as it once was, which to me is rather disappointing. That recipe was truly one of a kind and I am sure no one will ever bring it back, unfortunately
