What are some of your favorites? Just tried banana-rum (banana's foster-like though a bit artificial tasting) and strawberry cheesecake. Both were good. Want to try Dublin Mudslide.

Haven't tried the banana-rum (the idea sounds really good though) or the strawberry cheesecake. Tried the Dublin Mudslide last weekend and (I'll preface this by saying I LOVE almost all of Ben & Jerry's flavors) I was not that impressed -- it was artificial tasting and just kinda blah.

Big fan of Chunky Monkey, Chubby Hubby, One Sweet Whirled.

I have Vermonty Python in the freezer right now which I haven't tried yet. . .

I am one who desperately misses both Festivus during the holidays and Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz. In the past few years, I have found all their products to be way too sweet for me. I was really disappointed that the Black & Tan didn't really taste *like* beer which I had hoped it would, at least a little...

I always boycotted Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz because it replaced my favorite Cappucino Chocolate Chunk. I don't like hunks of fudge which is what you find in a lot of flavors. They told me they discontinued it because they couldn't package it in pints because of the chunks. After seeing their other flavors, that explanation always seemed fishy to me.

Those were my two favorites as well! I also miss Holy Cannoli. I hate all the current flavors. I haven't bought Ben & Jerry's in years. They should bring back a bunch of the old awesome flavors instead of making up new bizarre stupid flavors that don't taste good.

I just remembered, the Ben and Jerry's stores often have Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz.

Those big chunks in the ice cream are called "mouth feel" in the trade---it is supposedly the main attraction to the product. Some psych PhDs working for B & J told them consumers relate this "mouth feel" experience, to, ah, nursing as a baby on their mother's breast. Bonus fact: those golden arches at McDonalds? Specially designed to resemble large breasts. I am not making any of this up.

I just tried two of the new flavors this weekend: Cinnamon Buns and Peach Cobbler.. thought I'd really like Cinnamon Buns, but the stir-in of the meager amount of bun pieces was weirder than I expected and not quite right for my taste buds. The Peach Cobbler was better than I expected... reminded me of the old Apple Crumble flavor but with peach... nice little peach pieces and good buttery pieces of pie crust. I must say I also really like the new Creme Brulee flavor, even though the ribbon of caramelized sugar makes it over the top sweet.

I passed up the Americone Dream, as it really just didn't get me very excited w/ the description. I was quite disappointed w/ the Cinnamon Bun. The Mint Chocolate Chunk wasn't green (so for me that ain't no MCC). And as I said, thumbs up on the Creme Brulee.

The same *sogginess* exists in Chubby Hubby w/ the pb filled chocolate pretzels. Most of BJ's novelty, junk foody flavors beat HD's. HD would never do a Wavy Gravy flavor and if they did, it'd stink because it would be more stuck up. The goodness of BJ's down-homey flavors is the fact that they are unapologetically, unabashedly unrefined. Keep 'em coming.

BTW, anyone ever try the S'mores flavor? I'm not a big chocolate ice cream fan, but I'd be willing to try this one. I've searched in all the places that their website says the flavor is carried, but to no avail. So, if anyone's tried it, is it worth hunting down further? Thanks!

It's listed with the other new flavors, plus there's another flavor (Chocolate Almond Nougat) on there that I've never heard of which is definitely not in the Flavor Graveyard, so these must be new flavors! Marsha Marsha Marshmallow is my current favorite (as I previously mentioned on this thread somewhere), so the idea of S'mores is an exciting one for me...in case you couldn't tell.

i tried the creme brulee yesterday and wow, it is REALLY sweet. I am a sugar fiend but seriously, this was sweet. I took a bite and thought "i've tasted something like this before and its not a creme brulee." Suddenly i realized what it was--icing. Thats what this tastes like--frozen icing with tiny crunchy bits--a carmelized SUGAR ribbon no less. I wont probably buy this again, but if you like to eat icing with abandon, you would probably love this flavor.

Okay, so I just tried Cinnamon Buns and overall, I liked it. Like the Creme Brulee, it was reallllly sweet but I liked the flavors. The caramel ice cream was rich and nice and the caramel/streusel ribbon was different and had a little texture to it in spots which was nice. The only odd thing was the cinnamon bun "dough". It was basically just a way for them to make a new version of their chocolate chip cookie dough--it doesn't taste like or have the texture of actual cinnamon bun dough. Which is probably a good thing as raw bread dough wouldn't be very good, but it's just a confusing way to describe it. Anyway, the dough pieces were smaller (I had plenty in my pint) and tasted sort of like sugar cookie or snickerdoodle dough. Overall, I thought the flavor of this ice cream was good and would probably get it again on occasion, just not entirely like cinnamon buns.

My current favorite is Marsha Marsha Marshmallow, followed closely by Vermonty Python. The graham cracker/oreo crust swirl is their best invention in years!!! I keep hoping for a key lime flavor with a graham cracker crust swirl...mmmm.

Old standby faves: NY Super Fudge Chunk, Mint Chocolate Cookie, Coffee Heath Bar Crunch, Everything but the... and Chubby Hubby

Flavors I miss: Makin' Whoopie Pie, Orange and Cream, Totally Nuts and White Russian

The Creme Brulee has a delicious flavor but yes, it's very sweet. Mint Chocolate Chunk was good--I prefer the non-green look, personally--but the chunks were bizarrely large which made it hard to have the mint and chocolate taste together. The banana rum flavor was sooo good--just which they carried it in stores. I'm dying to try Willie's Peach Cobbler and Cinnamon Buns.

In my opinion, they come out with too many flavors with a caramel swirl. I'm not even that fond of the fudge swirl. That's why I like that they're coming up with new swirl ideas like the burnt sugar and graham cracker crust. I would love more marshmallow swirls, but I might be alone in that wish!

Jamaican Me Crazy, which is pineapple sorbet w/passionfruit swirl, is amazing. I agree about the "fudge" it is so fake-tasting that it wrecks any flavor it is in. I want to like those cute fish in Phish food, or the cows in that cow-related flavor, but they just taste totally artificial. I like pieces of actual chocolate or white chocolate--like what they have in New York Super Fudge Chunk.

i tried the new cinnamon bun. the bits were unexciting (cinnamon roll dought?!?) and didnt taste much like cinnamon rolls, more like dried out sugar cookie bits, BUT the base flavor was mildly addictive. i really really liked it for some reason. Therefore this makes it a repeat purchase. now if another has a better mixin with the same base...im game

i find the much lauded chunky monkey abit boring...sacriledge to some, i know, but it didnt do much for me...i think that its popularity would have inspired others to more banana inspired confections but the only one ive really seen is blue bells banana pudding ice cream (now THAT is something yummy...i love the whip cream swirl and chewy nilla wafer bits...not something hard that you break your teeth on. Maybe if the chunky monkey had a whip cream swirl i would be on board. or maybe im just a sugar fiend

cherry garcia, others swear by and i admit, it IS good, not to die for but solid

lol but i love the pistachio. finally, a pistachio ice cream that ISNT green! plus, the base is pistachio AND studded with pistachio nuts. No almonds to muddy up the mix here! if you like pistachios, this is your man, er carton. i can never go back to the oddly florescent shaded green cartons again...im ruined

wavy gravy is a flavor i wish i could try, as is rainforest crunch...i love nuts

chubby hubby has too much stuff in it for me, its a little overboard
the vanilla health bar i feel is a bit boring especially considering the price
oatmeal cookie crunch is sooo good...it was the one responsible for my current BJs addiction. i really like the cinnamon ice cream and the mix sans raisins(!)
all the chocolate ones...im not a good judge because i am not a chocolate fan to begin with.
i dont really like anything with big fudge hunks (so goodbye phish foods and bovine divinity) but the peanut butter gets thumbs up for using peanut butter ice cream along with a swirl AND chunks!
