Eat there only if you're in the neighborhood. Definitely do not travel more than a few blocks for it, as the same/better food can be found in any neighborhood joint in the city. Decor is nothing to speak of, food is a touch better executed than at a no-name spot but the portions are on the small side. So in the end, the level of satisfaction you get from Cluny vs. no-name joint is approximately the same. And if you trekked to the Village from, say, the UWS, you'll probably find yourself disappointed.

I went there for a late dinner a couple of months ago. Nice atmosphere - cozy, good for a date place. The frisee lardon salade was very good and so were the pomme frites. Menu is somewhat limited from what I remember - my date had a fish special which was ok, nothing innovative.

I haven't been. A search shows that, while Hounds have not exactly been descending upon it in droves, there have been a few who have tried it.
