Where to eat in Paris on a Sunday?

I am heading to Paris next week but finding that everywhere I call is closed on Sunday. I am planning to go to the Flea Market during the day but would appreciate any recommendations.

I was just in Paris with my girlfriend, and we chose Chez Omar for our Sunday dinner. Great couscous and steak (be sure to order the sauce with the steak! and be aware...medium steak there is quite rare). It was delicious! bring an appetite! It's a ways from the flea market, but the metro is easy. they don't take reservations, so get there early if you want a table (we got there at 8 and it was starting to fill up). very very fun.

We were just there two weeks ago and dropped in to Le Comptoir. They don't take reservations on Sundays (day or night) so it's the bistro offerings not the restaurant menu. But it was excellent!

L'ardoise is my first Sunday choice.

I would reccomend L'Ardoise, a lively bistrot in the 1st arr.

I second L'Ardoise. Very good food and reasonabley priced. You could also try La Maison Chardenoux in the 11th if you're looking for an off the beaten path place. No pre-fix but a hidden gem.

Le Bar au Huitres on rue Saint Jacques is filled with French families on Sunday. They serve fish as you might have guessed. I hope you're going to the flea at Vanves if you really want to buy something. Look for great prices on antique bistro stemware.

I've driven through the Vanves neighborhood many times, but outside of eating at a place named Chevron, which was very good 4 years ago, I don't know the area. It has always looked interesting. The exposition buildings appear to dominate the land along the peripherique, but the streets towards the center look very interesting, with real local character. Do you have more suggestions for the neighborhood?
